Le Jardin des Lilacs - Athens, OH
This double corner lot finally distinguishes itself by no longer displaying a plain lawn with typical trimmed yews along the house walls. Bricks paths right along the walls now keep the crawl space dry, yet still allow minimal rain absorption and guide the majority of run-off into a French drain and dry well system that keep storm water on site, but at least 10 feet away from the house foundations. There are now many small size slow growth trees with various ornamental or practical interests around the property. This landscape around the whole property has added $30,000 to the property value based on the City Auditor's estimate. See the before and after pictures by clicking on them. Athens, OH

Le Parc des Vignes- Athens, OH
This double lot design first and foremost aims to lower yard maintenance and improve storm water management to keep the house foundations and basement dry. It also has to incorporate a veggie garden and a running area for an upcoming rescue dog. Finally, the design must remain simple since this house will eventually be a rental property. As a result, there is less grass area to mow, storm water is redirected further from the house or collected in rain barrels, the parking area is better defined, the walkways are legible and the curb appeal is tremendously enhanced for the benefit of the entire neighborhood. This design can be implemented over a couple of years. Installation to start in 2016. See virtual representation below. Athens, OH
